A new curriculum has been created by the Office of Youth Ministry to help youth ministers incorporate catechesis into their comprehensive ministry programs, in line with the USCCB documents Renewing the Vision (1997) and Adaptation of Doctrinal Elements of a Curriculum Framework for the Development of Catechetical Materials for Young People of High School Age (2010). The "Emmaus" resource provides an outline that covers all catechetical topics recommended by the USCCB for high school ministry, in a four year time frame. For a more detailed overview of "Emmaus".

Please read the document's "Introductory Letter by Kevin Bohli".

Seeking Future Authors!

So far, we have published the "Year 1 Fall", "Year 1 Spring", "Year 2 Fall" and "Year 2 Spring". We are now beginning work on the "Year 3 Fall" semester (please refer to the "Four Year Curriculum" for details). We are actively seeking authors for the remaining semesters, though topics are being assigned to volunteers quickly. If you want to offer your time and talent to this effort, you may also contact Terry (see contact information above) if you are interested in authoring future semester sessions.
