Bishop Burbidge releases statement in support of H.R. 7

Bishop Burbidge gave the following statement today in support of H.R. 7:

As Catholics, we are united by the belief that all life is sacred.  Just as Pope Francis called on the U.S.  Congress to 'protect and defend human life at every stage of its development', I am asking you to contact your member of Congress today to urge them to vote YES on an important pro-life bill called the No Taxpayer funding for Abortion Act  (H.R. 7).  For assistance, go to: www.humanlifeaction.org/action-center  This bill will ensure that our tax money is not used to fund or promote elective abortion.  I also ask that you join me and other faithful this Friday at the March for Life, as we together stand in solidarity with the most vulnerable in our society.
