CCHD’s work is funded through contributions of the Catholic faithful. Each November, a second collection is taken up in the parishes of the Diocese.
Seventy-five percent of the amount collected is distributed through CCHD’s national grant program, and twenty-five percent of the funds collected stay in the Diocese to fund
local anti-poverty efforts. We use our 25% to fund community development or economic development projects that serve people in the diocese.
We also have two nationally-funded projects located here in the Arlington Diocese.
