The Bishop's Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities encourages the adoption of a parish-based ministry for pregnant women and their children.

The national Gabriel Project outreach began when a priest placed a sign in front of a Catholic Church offering parish assistance to any pregnant woman in need. The Arlington diocesan Gabriel Project offers a confidential pregnancy helpline, Gabriel “Angel” companions for follow-up support in your area, and so much more for “nothing is impossible for God.” ~ Luke 1:30

Gabriel Project 300x300

I was a single mother with a baby girl, a three year old and two months pregnant, abandoned by the father of my new baby. While in this difficult circumstance, I was almost immediately matched with a Gabriel Project volunteer. I had so many questions but my 'angel' was helpful, patient and a true guide throughout my pregnancy.
