POSITIon SUMMARY

The Office of Youth Ministry for the Catholic Diocese of Arlington is looking for 4 summer interns to work on a full-time basis, from the last week in May to the second week of August, assisting with the preparations and operations of two, week-long WorkCamps.

• Work closely with area Coordinators of Youth Ministry
  
• Gain an understanding of the Catholic Church and the Arlington Diocese
  
• Gain insight into a non-profit organization

BENEFITS TO STUDENTS

• Must be working towards a Bachelor's Degree
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle
• Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends as well as extended hours during the weeks of WorkCamp
• Must have strong computer skills, including the ability to create and manage databases (proficiency in Excel required)
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills
• Must have knowledge of the mission of the Office of Youth Ministry as well as the desire and ability to promote the mission and the faith
• Must be able to lift medium to heavy weight of 75 - 100 lbs
• Must be willing and able to perform work in cramped, uncomfortable spaces (attics, crawl spaces, utility closets, etc.) for extended periods of time during WorkCamp
• Prior experience with parish youth ministry programs a plus.

SAlary

$12.00, hourly
