Master Catechist Training Program
The Master Catechist Training Program is open to experienced catechists who are ready to deepen their involvement in the catechetical ministry of the Church. After completion of a two year program, candidates will be certified as Master Catechists, qualified to provide catechetical training in parishes. In the program, candidates grow in their faith through instruction, days of prayer, peer mentoring, and spiritual direction. Year I focuses on key doctrinal and catechetical topics.
Year II focuses on aspects of human development: psychological, moral, emotional and spiritual; catechetical method; and the development of skills related to teaching adults. Attention to and support for the candidates' personal spiritual development is continuous throughout the program.
