Distinguished Teachers of the Year - 2008
The recipients of the 2008 Distinguished Teachers of the Year Award were recognized April 27, 2008 at the annual Catholic Business Network of Northern Virginia (CBNNV) Catholic Schools Awards Banquet. The award, sponsored by CBNNV and BB&T Bank, is presented to four teachers in the Diocese of Arlington whose accomplishmentsand talents have made an extraordinary impact on students, colleagues, and the school community. The 2008 Distinuished Teachers of the Year are as follows:

High School Tabernacle receives papal Blessing
Pope John Paul the Great Catholic High School's tabernacle received a special Papal apostolic blessing during the April 17th Mass celebrated by Pope Benedict XVI at Nationals Park.
The tabernacle will be prominently displayed in the school's chapel when the school opens in August.
The school, which will eventually enroll 1,000-students, is currently under construction on the Cherry Hill Peninsula in Dumfries, Virginia (Prince William County).
