summer seminars for teachers

The Office of Catholic Schools is committed to assisting its teachers with their continued professional development. Since they were first offered to teachers back in 1996, the Summer Seminars workshops hosted by the Office of Catholic Schools and funded by the Catholic Business Network of Northern Virginia have continued to provide many opportunities for its teachers. For example, this past summer 288 teachers participated in 12 workshops.

Topics ranged from "Catholic Virtues in the Classroom," "Technology Integration," "Peace & Justice: Integrating the 7 principles of Catholic Social Teaching into the Classroom" and a workshop on the latest brain research and its application to learning and memory.
