    Financial Gifts or Grants

The Office of Vocations welcomes the generous financial support given by various benefactor groups to our seminarians and will happily provide the names and addresses of our current seminarians to facilitate this support. The following diocesan policy was developed to ensure a just and equitable distribution of these gifts or grants.

There are several ways in which benefactors can support our seminarians and the work of the Office of Vocations:

    • General Vocations Fund: Supports the work the Office of Vocations does to form seminarians, offer discernment opportunities, and promote vocations.
    • Msgr. Roeltgen Fund: Assists seminarians with their expenses.
    • Knights of Columbus Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP): To encourage giving, the Knights organization reimburses councils for a portion of donations to seminarians and postulants/novices. Find out more here.

    • Race for Seminarians: By sponsoring a runner in the Marine Corps Marathon/10K, you support our seminarians and Office of Vocations programs. Find out more here.

    • Direct Donation to Seminarian: We are happy to recommend a seminarian to support and provide you with his contact information.

    • Seminarian Education Endowment Fund: Pays for tuition, room, and board. When donating, please make your check out to "The Foundation for the CDA," and write "Seminarian Education Endowment Fund" on the memo line.
