Pre-Theology I
Pontifical College Josephinum
Blessed Sacrament Parish

What did you do prior to entering seminary?

I studied Electrical Engineering at Virginia Tech.

What influenced your decision to apply for seminary entrance?

I witnessed many joyful priests at Blessed Sacrament parish who made the priesthood seems important and appealing to me.

Why do you want to be a priest?

I want to give people the best things they could possibly have: happiness, holiness, God, sacraments, salvation. These are the mains things.

What are your favorite pastimes?

I enjoy playing classic Nintendo games, fishing, being on or near water, playing soccer, playing board games, winning at chess, and watching movies.

What is your favorite quote?

I don’t have a favorite quote, but I have many that I always draw inspiration from. One example is from St. Therese of Lisieux, “Even if I had on my conscience all the crimes that one could commit, I am sure I would lose nothing of my confidence; I would throw myself, my heart broken with sorrow, into the arms of my Savior.”

Who is your favorite Saint and why?

My favorite saint is St. Therese of Lisieux because she has a spirituality that resonates with me and sets the wings of my soul free to soar in love.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?

Relax. God is a God of peace. Trust that He is leading you where He wants you to be in a way that you will understand. Discernment is not a puzzle to figure out but an exploration of who God created you to be.
