Run, Bike, Walk, Swim, Kayak...or Pray and Donate for our Seminarians!

The new race season is upon us, and with it come 12 new seminarians beginning their studies for the priesthood. And they appreciate your support!

Now there are even more ways to support our seminarians as part of the Race for Seminarians campaign:

Pick your sport: Walk, run, bike, hike, swim, kayak -- the sky's the limit!

Pick your route: Join an existing race, map your own, or do a virtual one.

Pick your sponsors: Get them on board to help you support our future priests.

Build your team: Encourage each other.

Not an athlete? You can still join the cause by supporting our team (and future priests) with funds and prayers.

Read on to learn how you can be part of something big!

To join the Race for Seminarians Team:

  1. As a PARTICIPANTSelect the race/event you would like to run/walk/bike/paddle/etc, then register as a member of the Race for Seminarians team and set your fundraising goal. Visit our Athletes' Page for more information, get some training and fundraising tips, and register.

  2. As a SPONSOR: you can make a donation online or by check to a specific athlete, or to support the team (and vocations) in general.

  3. As a PRAYER WARRIOR: Add this cause to your daily intentions, or join the St. Therese Vocations Society as way to pray for vocations by name every day.

Here is a flier to help spread the word!

How will your efforts help?

The Diocese of Arlington invests a great deal in its seminarians to ensure they become well-formed priests. Their formation, including human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral, requires a commitment of time, effort and money. Your donations to the Race for Seminarians contribute toward the costs of seminarian education as well as seminarian expenses not normally covered by the Diocese.

Quarantine Half Marathon

Race for Seminarians runner Rachel Luciani and friends did a "Quarantine half marathon" to raise money for seminarians.
