A HOW-TO GUIDE TO SUBSCRIBE TO PODCASTS

Introduction

The following guidelines and screenshots are to help you conveniently add podcasts to your iPod or MP3 player. If you need any assistance, please contact the Webmaster (webmaster@arlingtondiocese.org).

Step 1: Open ITUNES & verify version number

Open the iTunes application.
Verify if you have the newest version of iTunes (Currently iTunes 8.0.2):

  • Windows OS: Click Help > "Check for Updates".
  • Mac OS: iTunes > "Check for Updates..."

Step 2: BEGIN SUBSCRIpTION PRoCESS

Click on Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast...

Step 3: ENTER XML ADDRESS FOR PODCAST

A dialogue box will appear and ask for a URL (or XML Address). Enter:

in to the box and click "OK".

  

Step 4: DOWNLOADING PODCAST

Your "Podcasts" tab will automatically open and display "Theology on Tap- Catholic Diocese of Arlington" album. It will automatically download all existing podcasts for Theology on Tap.

STEP 5: FUTURE PODCASTS

Every time open iTunes, your computer will check for any new episodes of the Podcasts. Generally, new episodes from Theology on Tap will be posted by 3PM the following Tuesday after an event.
