What is this day of reflection?The Office of Youth Ministry would like to provide everyone that works with youth this opportunity for prayer & reflection with the hope that you focus on your ministry and your teens - this is an intentional day to meet before Advent to pray, reflect and plan your ministry activities for Advent. As we prepare for another Liturgical year it is important to take time to reflect on your personal relationship with Christ as well as your ministry. Take the time this Advent to Behold, Your Mother! See how her example leads you to as deeper relationship with Christ!
About our SpeakerThis year’s reflection leader is Fr. Michael Kelly. He is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville with an MA in Philosophy. He participated in NET Ministries from 2000 to 2001 and is a 2010 graduate of Mount Saint Mary's with an MDiv. and MA in Systematic Theology. He was ordained in June of 2010. Fr. Kelly is currently the Parochial Vicar at St. Mary in Old Town Alexandria. In keeping with this year’s theme; Behold, Your Mother, Fr. Kelly is going to focus our reflection this year on Mary and her role as the Mother of Jesus and her example to us, the Church.
Who's InvitedThis event is ait is open to all Coordinators of Youth Ministry, their volunteers and parish priests from across the Diocese of Arlington. This is not a youth event.
