Fr. Paul Scalia           Dr. Frank Moncher

    Details

Speaker: Rev. Paul D. Scalia, Bishop's Delegate for Clergy, and Dr. Frank Moncher, licensed clinical psychologist with Catholic Charities
Topic: Restoring Man by Serving Christ

In-service training is intended to immerse CYMs and other youth workers in developing a specific youth ministry skill. This in-service will count towards two sessions (Christocentric Morality and Theology of the Body) in The Certificate Training Program.

Emphasized by the recent Supreme Court decision redefining the legal definition of marriage, it is increasingly difficult to address the topics of same sex attraction and marriage with youth, especially with those who feel they have a same-sex attraction or confusion of their gender. Fr. Paul Scalia and Dr. Frank Moncher will cover these timely topics and investigate some of the possible ways to express relevant Catholic Church teaching with the child and/or their parents.

    Who's invited

This training is being offered to everyone that works with youth in the diocese, all parish Coordinators of Youth Ministry, their volunteer teams, DREs and parish priests.
