    Open to all high school aged students. All must register through the parish youth office - call yours today for more information!

    Every year the Office of Youth Ministry sponsors RALLY as our largest outreach event that celebrates our faith and love of the Lord! We are planning for hundreds of high school students to gather for over eight hours of music, inspirational speakers, and Sunday Mass with Bishop Loverde. RALLY is designed to be open to any high school aged youth wanting to attend; please welcome and invite them to participate in the life of the Catholic Church!

    46 of the 68 parishes in the Diocese of Arlington attended RALLY 2015, bringing together over 1000 teens and adult leaders! We would love to see even more of you there this year! Imagine if all 68 parishes and 6 Missions brought youth to this annual event...we would have to pack the house & have to find an even larger venue in 2017!

    Bishop of the Diocese of Arlington,

    Most Reverend paul S. Loverde


    Bishop Paul S. Loverde was installed as the third Bishop of Arlington at the Cathedral of Saint Thomas More on March 25, 1999. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on September 3, 1940 to Paul Loverde and Ann Marie Conti. Bishop has been joining us for RALLY for fifteen years and invites all of the young people of his diocese to attend!

    Since coming to the Diocese of Arlington, Bishop Loverde has authored five Pastoral Letters: Growing in Wisdom, Age and Grace, To Remember Well, Bought with a Price, Fountain of Life, Fire of Love, Go Forth with Hearts on Fire.

    Danny Ray

     

    SEAN FORREST

    Sean Forrest began his ministry as a full-time youth minister at St. James parish in Stratford, Conn. In January of 2000, Sean founded Movin’ With The Spirit, Inc. (MWTS), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to boldly proclaiming God’s eternal Truth and love. Since then, he has had the opportunity to speak to hundreds of thousands of teens and adults across the country and internationally.

    Sean is a graduate of Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Conn., where he does work as an instructor and retreat leader. He has released his sixth album, “Live, Love, Lead,” which he recorded in Nashville with popular Christian musicians and a Grammy Award-winning producer.

    Building on his organization’s work in the U.S., Sean has also mobilized a team to help the poor of Haiti. MWTS Haiti180 constructed and operates a lively orphanage and state-of-the-art school, and has been housing, feeding, and caring for children and villagers in desperate need of support. The organization is also in the process of building a medical clinic for the local and surrounding communities. Sean Lives in Connecticut with his wife and three children.

    DANNY RAY

    Danny Ray is a highly sought after illusionist and speaker for youth and family events.  For over 14 years now, as his full-time occupation, Danny Ray has been traveling the world sharing God's transforming message... through captivating illusions.  He does this with laughter and mind-blowing magic that cause people to be shocked, amazed and inspired.  He loves Jesus, his family, and chocolate chip cookies!

    Danny, his wife, and three children (ages 17, 15 & 11) reside in sunny Southern California.

    Josh Blakesley Band

    The Josh Blakesley Band has acknowledged a simple calling: To make music that moves people into prayer and action. 

    Their latest album, Even in This, has done just that. After a very successful Kickstarter campaign, the band recorded the 10-song album with producer and songwriter, Michael Farren (Let it Rain). The album features songs co-written with Farren, Mia Fieldes (Hillsong), Dove Award winner Marc Byrd (God of Wonders) and Grammy Award nominated, Sarah Hart (Better than a Hallelujah). 

    The band continues to tour domestically and internationally, partnering with the Franciscan University of Steubenville for their youth/young adult conferences, Life Teen International, Catholic Heart Work Camps, Adore Ministries, as well as many churches, camps and conferences of all sizes in an effort to live out their calling and to “make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:18)

    Blakesley and the band have been featured on Sirius XM, EWTN’s Life on the Rock, and have performed with artists like Kutless, The City Harmonic, Jars of Clay and the Newsboys; on tour with Matt Maher and Audrey Assad. Josh Blakesley Band have been a part of our Life is VERY Good events three times and we are excited to welcome them to the RALLY stage! 

    Josh and the band currently live in Alexandria, Louisiana with their families. EVEN IN THIS is available now.

    Registration Procedures

    Young people that want to participate must sign up through their parish Coordinator of Youth Ministry. The cost is $25.00 per participant (youth and adult leaders), which includes all of the great entertainment above, a T-shirt, dinner, and snacks.

    Procedure for Coordinators of Youth Ministry to sign up your Youth:

    1. Get your youth excited about RALLY by putting the poster up around the parish, having some of your older, "veteran" youth talk about the event at a youth meeting, and showing the promo video at meetings and sharing it in e-mails.
    2. Get a head-count of how many will be participating, and download the RALLY Permission Slip/Forma de Permiso (bilingual/ bilingüe) for each to complete. The permission slip is two pages (English 1st page / Spanish 2nd page).
    3. Online registration is now open. The link to register is:

    4. Online registration closes on Monday, October 17. If you would like to register any additional participants after that date, please contact April at the office: 703-841-2559. Thanks!

    Check-in Procedures

    On Sunday, October 23(the day of RALLY):

    1. Eat lunch before you arrive at RALLY! (We will be serving dinner around 5:00pm).
    2. Come to Bishop O'Connell High School (PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION!!!) on Sunday, October 23rd (check-in begins at 11:30 A.M.). Be sure to bring a copy of the SIGNED ORIGINAL permission slip for each participant and keep it with you at all times.
    3. When you check-in, you will verify your list of attendees, pick up pre-printed name tags and sign a statement agreeing to have the OYM bill your parish $25.00 per attendee.
    4. Your parish will be sent an invoice following RALLY. Instructions on making your payment will be included.
    5. RALLY begins at 12:00pm & concludes around 8:00pm after the concert.

    Directions to Bishop O'Connell High School:

    Address: 6600 Little Falls Road, Arlington, VA 22213

    From I-495 in Virginia: Take Rt. 66 East to Exit 69 (Lee Highway/Washington Blvd.). Go to traffic light at end of ramp and turn left onto Lee Highway. Go two blocks and turn left onto Underwood Street. Continue on Underwood for about three blocks. Bishop O'Connell High School is located on the right.

    Please note: The t-shirts will be distributed in two phases:

    1. Parishes that are more than 2 hrs away from Arlington Co. will generally be able to take their shirts with them from RALLY that evening; and
    2. Parishes closer to the Chancery may have their shirts sent via mail or special delivery approximately three weeks after RALLY.

    The earlier that people register, the better our chances are to have more shirts on the day of the event!
