Mass, Holy Hour, and food collections for World Day of the Poor 2019

Join Catholics throughout the Diocese on Sunday, November 17, 2019 as we celebrate the World Day of the Poor with Mass, a Holy Hour, and several food collections at various locations in the Diocese.

At Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling, Virginia

Join Bishop Burbidge as he celebrates Mass for the World Day of the Poor at 10 a.m. in English, noon in Spanish, and leading a Holy Hour for the intentions of the poor at 1:30 p.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.

Following the Holy Hour, the parish will be conducting a food and coat drive for the poor with representatives from Catholic Charities available to talk about their work housing the homeless, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and welcoming the newcomer.
