The Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Arlington are an essential component in the educational ministry of the Church. Once the online application is completed, the following items must be submitted to the Office of Catholic Schools at the following address:

1. Request official transcripts be sent from your college to the Office of Catholic Schools.
2. Send a copy of your current teaching license. (Virginia or out of state)
3. Request a reference from your pastor/minister using the form below.
4. Request two professional references (one from your most recent employer or from a supervising professor) using the form below.
5. Include a signed copy of the Witness Statement (see forms list below).
While salaries can vary from school to school, we are including the beginning salary for elementary and secondary teachers.
Beginning Salary for Teachers
For 2024-2025 it is $40,537 for a bachelor's degree and $42,057 for a master's.
Finally, while the Office of Catholic Schools can in no way guarantee you a position, openings do occur regularly. If you are hired by one of the schools of the Diocese, you will be required to attend an orientation session which is held in mid-August. This session offers faculty members who are new to the Diocese an opportunity to learn about our mission as Catholic educators and to become familiar with personnel policies and benefit programs available to school employees. Your principal will inform you of the date, time and location.
