ARLINGTON, Va.  – On Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 1 p.m. the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge will bless one of six new homes for expectant mothers at Mary’s Shelter in Fredericksburg.  Mary’s Shelter is a Christ-centered program providing housing and financial support to expectant mothers for up to three years after the birth of their children.

Kathleen Wilson, founder and Director of Mary’s Shelter says having these homes blessed is so important. “It shows that we are welcoming the Holy Spirit into our lives and our homes, and in consecrating these places to Him, we pray that God will bless them and bring peace to all who live here,” she said.  The residents will attend the ceremony.

The new homes are in Fredericksburg, but spread out.  The six homes consist of two houses and four apartment units.
