For students currently studying in the United States who hold an F-1 Visa.
I-20 TRANSFER: IN PROCESS
- APPLY to and meet all the admission requirements for the Diocese of Arlington Catholic school of choice.
- COMPLETE the Diocese of Arlington Transfer Report and submit it to the current school along with a copy of the acceptance letter.
- If classes are in session, the student must continue to attend classes until the transfer release date.
- The transfer release date is determined in consultation with the Designated School Official of the current school.
- SUBMIT the Diocese of Arlington I-20 application with a copy of the student's current passport and visa to the Diocese of Arlington school.
- PICK UP the I-20 from the Office of Catholic Schools after receiving notification the I-20 is available. Note: I-20s must be picked up and will not be mailed.
Students transferring between Diocese of Arlington Catholic schools will not need to complete a Transfer Report, but will need to follow the rest of these steps.
I-20 TRANSFER: OUT PROCESS
Submit the following to the Office of Catholic Schools:
- Acceptance letter to new school
- Completed transfer form as required by new school
- Contact information for the International Student Adviser at new school
- SEVIS School Code for new school
- If classes are in session, the student must continue to attend classes until the transfer release date.
- The transfer release date is determined in consultation with the Designated School Official of the current school.
- For high school graduates, the I-20 will be released to the college or university on the date of graduation.
