Living Stations of the Cross on Good Friday

ARLINGTON, Va. – On Friday, March 30th, several parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington will offer Living Stations of the Cross (or Via Crucis en Vivo). The living stations consist of a visual portrayal of Jesus on the way to his crucifixion. The procession and veneration are in Spanish – EXCEPT where indicated below. All are invited.


Here are the locations and times:

Falls Church

Saint James Catholic Church

Falls Church, VA

It begins along Park Avenue with the journey to the Cross (located behind the rectory). This year’s ‘Living of the Cross’ at St. James Catholic Church will be guided by the City of Falls Church Police and will start at 5:00 pm at the school’s gymnasium. The Via Crucis' route is Oak Street, then Fulton Street, then Spring Street, then across Park Avenue and ending at the back of the priests’ car garage. This year, the parish added 10 Roman soldiers and more characters to the drama. More than 300 people are expected to attend.
