The Diocesan Choir was formed in 1999 for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Diocese of Arlington. The choir sings multiple times each year at events such as the Marriage Jubilarian Mass, the Rite of Election, and the Diocesan Confirmation for adult Catholics. The choir includes singers from throughout the Diocese of Arlington and is directed by Father Vincent Ferrer Bagan, O.P., Diocesan and Cathedral Director of Music. If you are interested in joining the Diocesan Choir and already sing in one of our parish choirs, please have your director contact Father Vincent Ferrer. If you do not currently sing in one of our parish choirs, please contact the Music office at the Cathedral here.
The Diocesan Choir sings at the following annual liturgies:
- Rite of Election
- Confirmation for Adults
- Ordination of Deacons (Permanent Diaconate)
- Ordination of Deacons (Transitional Diaconate)
- Ordination of Priests
- Mass for Marriage Jubilarians
- Diocesan Pilgrimage (tri-annual)
