What did you do prior to entering seminary?

I am a consecrated member of the Youth Apostles community. I have served as the Youth Missionary at Holy Trinity parish in Gainesville for the past two years.

What influenced your decision to apply for seminary entrance?

The call to the priesthood has been on my heart for the past few years. I decided to discern this call further through my consecrated commitment to Youth Apostles, and the Lord has affirmed my desire to be a priest through wonderful experiences in prayer, community, and ministry.

Why do you want to be a priest?

I love God, and I want to do strive to do his will above all else. I also have a great desire to bring Christ to the Church through the sacraments, in order to draw people into a more intimate relationship with Christ.

What are your favorite pastimes?

I enjoy disc golf, board games, sports, reading, cooking, movies, and spending time outdoors.

What is your favorite quote?

“If you have God at the center of all your action, then you will reach the goal.” Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati

Who is your favorite Saint and why?

I love Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. Although he is not a saint yet, I pray that he will be soon. I am attracted to his simplicity of life and generous spirit. He truly died to himself and lived for Christ.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?

Take action. If you feel even a small inclination that the Lord may be calling you to explore the priesthood, talk to people around you. Ask a good friend what they think. Talk to a priest and ask him whatever is on your mind. Above all, spend time in prayer. Try to attend Mass more often throughout the week. Spend time in Adoration, listening quietly with an open heart.
