FIAT Summer Camp

Grow in faith and friendship. Build virtue. Have some fun!

The camp registration lottery is now closed. Those who receive a spot will be notified by April 12 and will have until May 6 to submit registration and payment. To be added to the wait list send an email to vocations@arlingtondiocese.org including the name, current grade and birthdate of the camper.

Read on for more info about FIAT camp.

FIAT Summer Camp is designed for high school girls who want to gain tools for living and praying to lay a solid foundation for their future.

It's five days and four nights at Mount St. Mary's Seminary with religious sisters and young women also striving to grow in holiness. Arlington priests serve as the chaplains for camp.

Mornings focus on the spiritual, including Mass and talks, and afternoons are all about sports, games and crafts; evening events are a mix. One day there's a pilgrimage to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.

This year's theme centers on the promise in the book of Revelation, “Behold, I make all things new” (Rev. 21:5), reminding us of the hope and joy Jesus secured for us by his death and resurrection. How does Jesus want to renew you? How can you respond?

Come to FIAT Camp and find out!

Dates: July 14-18, 2024. Camp opens at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, pick-up is 1:00 p.m. Thursday. There is noon Mass and a picnic for families on opening Sunday.

FIAT Camp is for girls currently in high school (grades 9-12 for the 2023-24 academic year), who have not yet turned 19.

Due to demand, camp registration is done by lottery. The lottery is open now through midnight March 29 (see above link to enter). Only one entry needed per camper, and you can enter anytime before it closes.

For those who receive a space in the camp, registration links will be sent out by April 12, and registration and payment are due May 6.

Cost is $280 per camper, which include private room and all meals for the 4.5 days. Financial aid and payment plans are available* (see below for more payment information).

Camp is held at Mount St. Mary's University and Seminary. All campers will have their own room and share a hall bath. Meals are in the university cafeteria.

Some comments from campers on what they most enjoyed:

"I enjoyed interacting with the sisters both during recreation time and meal times. I also appreciated the joy and friendly spirit that everyone brings to the camp."

"The sisters were amazing!! So fun and wise! The personal retreat time where you had the chance to go to confession, be in adoration, be outside, or have a valuable and deep heart-to-heart with a sister."

“There was nothing I didn't love. I really loved all the time we spent in prayer (especially the Liturgy of the Hours) and the talks from the sisters. The Eucharistic procession was AWESOME!”

"I really enjoyed the authenticity of each talk, the sisters knew how to connect with the campers through humor and experience."

"I think there was a great balance of prayer and play!"

"The best part was bonding with other girls and the sisters through faith and sports."
