About FIAT

FIAT Camp is a great opportunity to explore your vocation, grow in prayer and friendship, and learn more about religious life!

FIAT Camp is five days and four nights at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, growing in faith, prayer and friendship with other girls as well as the religious sisters and young women discerners who staff the camp. The mornings include Mass and talks, the afternoons are sports and recreation, and evening events are a mix of spiritual and fun. There is also a pilgrimage to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.

The camp is for rising 9-12 graders.

More about the FIAT Camp Lottery and Registration Process:

The lottery is open from 9:30am March 1 through midnight March 31, and names will be drawn during the first full week of April. Those receiving a spot will receive an email by Friday April 13 letting them know if they have a spot in the 2018 camp.

This April 13 email will include a link to the registration form.  In order to secure your spot, you must register and submit all forms and payment by May 1, 2018, or your spot will be released for someone on the waiting list.

Those who do not secure a spot in the original lottery will be placed on a waiting list, the order of which will also be determined by lottery.  As soon as any spots are released we will let you know in the order of the waiting list.

The cost of the camp is $220 per camper, which includes private room and all meals and activities during the camp. Payment plans and financial aid are available and do not effect your eligibility for the lottery.

TESTIMONIES

Here's what some past participants had to say about their experience at FIAT:

  • “I enjoyed getting to meet the sisters and seeing that they can still be fun and awesome and be themselves while dedicating their lives to Christ.”

  • “I enjoyed the connection with God, above all. The feeling of being surrounded by people who support you in your faith and having fun with them was so amazing. It was something I didn’t realize I wanted until now.”

We are thrilled these camps have received such a great response; at the same time, we regret that we don’t have the time or the space to accommodate more campers.

While these camps are an opportunity for young people to grow closer to God and discern their vocations, they are not the only means. If your son or daughter is exploring his or her vocation, please contact Fr. Jaffe in the Office of Vocations and he would be happy to help in any way he can.
