Please join St. John Neumann's Racial Justice Ministry for an inspiring presentation by distinguished members of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary on Wednesday, September 22, at 7 p.m. via Zoom.


The presentation will cover

 

  • The history of St. Peter Claver, the patron saint of enslaved people (1580-1654);
  • The founding and organization of the Knights of Peter Claver and their Ladies Auxiliary; and
  • The stories of six African American candidates for sainthood.

The Knights of Peter Claver is the largest historically African-American Catholic lay organization in the United States.
