Young adults from 20 - 35 are invited to join Fr. Christopher Christensen, pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church in Alexandria, for a spring retreat at San Damiano. Learn to place your burdens at the foot of the Cross, spending time with St. Francis of Assisi, St. Claire, and Our Lady of Fatima and meditating on Poverty, Humility, and Charity.
Retreat cost is $285 and financial assistance may be available.

More information about Fr. Christensen:
Rev. Christopher Christensen was born in Oak Harbor, WA and grew up in a Navy family. After spending time with his family in Washington, Florida, California, and Japan, he moved to Northern Virginia. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School in Woodbridge and then the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria (2002). In 2006, he graduated from the University of Notre Dame with majors in Philosophy and Japanese language and was commissioned as a Naval Officer through the NROTC Program. From 2006 to 2008, he served on the USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19) in Yokosuka, Japan as a Surface Warfare Officer. In 2008, he entered seminary for the Diocese of Arlington and spent 6 years at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. He was ordained as a priest in June 2014 and has served at 3 parishes as Parochial Vicar - John the Apostle, Leesburg (June 2014 - Nov 2015), the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, Arlington (Nov 2015 - June 2020), and St. Leo the Great, Fairfax (June 2020 - June 2021). He arrived at St. Rita in June 2021 as Pastor, and is loving every minute of it!
