Black Catholic History Month Conference 2022

November is Black Catholic History Month. During this month, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington and the Office of Multicultural Ministries' Black Catholic Ministry, invite you to “Do This In Remembrance of Me: Remembering Black Catholic History and how it impacts our faith here and now.”
The conference will feature dynamic speakers, both lay and religious, speaking on the lives of Black Catholic saints and saints to be, with an emphasis on “remembering” how Black Catholics changed the history of not only our country, but our own Diocese of Arlington.
The conference begins at noon and concludes with a 5 p.m. Vigil Mass at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, 3901 Cathedral Lane Arlington, VA 22203. Bishop Michael F. Burbidge will be the main celebrant and homilist.
