The Bishop's Lenten Appeal
(BLA) supports our diocese in its mission of sharing the love and mercy of
Christ through serving the needy, educating and forming youth, encouraging
vocations, promoting a culture of life and assisting the clergy, religious, and
lay people who help build and strengthen our diocesan Church.
The BLA is the primary means of support for many ministries,
programs, services and charitable works of our diocesan community.
As Disciples of Christ, our strength comes from each of us
acknowledging God's gifts and sharing a portion of these gifts to further the
Mission of Jesus Christ in our diocese.
When we join together through this important appeal, we lift up
one another by extending God’s love and mercy in a very real and genuine
capacity. in way that touch the lives and souls of countless people in our
diocese.
