Diocese responds to death of construction worker at high school site

Yesterday, the Diocese of Arlington was informed that a construction worker passed away from injuries sustained following an accident at the construction site for the new Paul VI Catholic High School campus.

Bishop Michael F. Burbidge offers the following remarks:
“I ask all in the Diocese of Arlington to please keep in prayer the soul of the man who passed away while working on Paul VI High School’s new campus, as well as for his family and friends. At this time of mourning and sorrow, there are no words that can fully express our sadness. With hope in the Resurrection, we entrust all who pass away to the arms of a loving and merciful God.”

Diocesan staff was on site yesterday evening, offering support to the workers and contractor. Opportunities for group prayer will be coordinated between the Paul VI Catholic High School chaplain and the contractor and site workers.
