Describe the charism of your congregation:

The charism of La Salette is the grace and prophetic word that flows from the Apparition of Our Lady to Maximin and Melanie on Saturday, September 19, 1846, on a mountaintop near the hamlet of La Salette, in the Alps of southeastern France.

Mary says, "Come near, my children. Do not be afraid...Make this message known to all my people." Namely, that God is near and approachable, and that Jesus is the sure and effective sign of forgiveness and reconciliation with the Father. Mary calls us to respond in love and faith; she charges us to accept and to become ambassadors of an ongoing ministry of reconciliation.
