Easter 2022

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,


May Our Lord's presence and triumph fill your hearts with peace and joy this sacred Season of Easter and always! 

When the risen Christ appears to the disciples, his first words to them are "Peace be with you." In these difficult and challenging times for our world, today we are reminded of these first words heard by the disciples. Like them, we too should desire to be with him, the risen Lord. He is the center of peace and when we participate in his Easter triumph, we encounter his peace. 

The peace of Christ flows from his victory over sin and death. In the last forty days we have striven to turn away from the evils that divide us from God and put us into conflict with one another. This Easter, therefore, we pray with special fervor the plea for peace offered in every Eucharist: that Our Lord Jesus Christ may look not on our sins but on our faith and graciously grant us his peace and unity. May we, in turn, joyfully and courageously carry his saving graces to our hurting world.

Entrust yourself, your families, our nation and our world to Our Lord Jesus and his saving power. May he bless you and your families and fill you with his peace at Easter and always.

Pascua 2022

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,

Que la presencia y el triunfo de Nuestro Señor llenen su corazón de paz y alegría en esta santa Temporada de Pascua y siempre. 

Las primeras palabras pronunciadas por Cristo Resucitado al aparecerse a los discípulos son: "Que la paz esté con ustedes." Hoy, en estos momentos arduos y difíciles para nuestro mundo, se nos recuerdan estas primeras palabras que escucharon los discípulos. Al igual que ellos, también nosotros debemos expresar nuestro deseo de estar con Él, con el Señor Resucitado. Él es el centro de la paz y al participar en su triunfo en la Pascua encontramos su paz. 

La paz de Cristo emana de su victoria sobre el pecado y la muerte. En los últimas cuarenta días, nos hemos esforzado por alejarnos de los males que nos separan de Dios y nos hacen entrar en conflicto a unos con otros. Por lo tanto, en esta Pascua, recemos con especial fervor la oración de súplica por la paz ofrecida en cada Eucaristía: que Nuestro Señor Jesucristo no mire nuestros pecados sino nuestra fe misericordiosamente nos conceda la paz y la unidad. Por nuestra parte, que con alegría y valor llevemos sus dones pascuales a nuestro mundo doliente.

Encomiéndense y encomienden a sus familias, a nuestra nación y al mundo a Nuestro Señor Jesús y a su poder salvador. Que Él los bendiga a ustedes y a sus familias y los llene de su paz en la Pascua y siempre.
