SUMMARY:FIAT Camp Staff applications
DESCRIPTION:If you really feel that God may be calling you to life as a religious sister\, time spent at FIAT is an excellent way to “try it out” - you're living and praying and working and laughing with sisters as you serve alongside them at our discernment camp for high school girls.  \nThis is also an excellent opportunity to grow as a Catholic woman leader. \nYou will get to know the sisters as individuals\, hear how God revealed His plan to them\, and also hear about the prayer life and apostolic works of their orders.  You will also participate in the daily prayer of the camp: Mass\, Holy Hour\, Rosary\, and meditations and talks given by the sisters\, and serve as assistant group leaders for the 100 high school girls who come to grow in their own discernment.  \nThe camp is held at Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg\, MD and is always an amazing experience. Dates for 2025 are July 19-24. Applications are accepted January 1-31\, 2025; contact the Office of Vocations if you are interested.

DESCRIPTION:Theme: Into the Deep: Being Real with God...and Letting Him be Real with You \nWhen: Friday\, February 14\, 2025 - Sunday\, February 16\, 2025 \nWhere: San Damiano Spiritual Life Center \nWho: All young adult men\, ages 19-35 \nLed by: Rev. Christopher Christensen\, Pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church \nCost: $285; includes meals and accommodation \nWe never want a young adult to miss a retreat or event for financial reasons so do ask if financial assistance is needed.  \nRegistration is now closed. \nYour effectiveness depends on the conformity of your will with God’s. Are you ready to take the next step? When the Lord invites you to "put out into deep waters” (Lk 5:4)\, He wants to make you more fully His instrument to accomplish His works. And the works of God do not crumble with the passing of time - they last for all eternity. The retreat will begin with dinner on Friday\, February 14th and conclude with lunch on Sunday\, February 16th.  \nRev. Christopher Christensen was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Arlington in June 2014. He comes from a Navy background\, went to college at the University of Notre Dame\, and attended seminary for 6 years at St. Charles Borromeo in Philadelphia\, PA.
