SUMMARY:Men's Discernment Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Spend a weekend growing in your spiritual life and learning to listen to the voice of the Lord this Lent. It promises to be a great opportunity for silence and prayer as well as talking with priests and seminarians.  Cost is $150 and includes overnights and all meals (financial assistance is available if needed). \nRetreat starts Friday at 6:30 p.m. and concludes Sunday after lunch. \nFor men ages 18-35. \nContact the Office of Vocations to register; deadline Monday February 9 with payment due Friday February 13.

SUMMARY:Mission Trip for Young Adults: El Salvador
DESCRIPTION:Commissioned by Christ and The Office of Youth\, Campus\, and Young Adult Ministries are thrilled to invite you to embark on a life-changing mission trip to San Salvador\, El Salvador. This journey promises to be a profound experience of faith\, service\, and community as we come together to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. \nEach day\, we will celebrate Mass and participate in reflections that draw us closer to God and to each other. A highlight of our trip will be visiting the residence of St. Oscar Romero. We will also have the honor of celebrating Mass at the very site where he was martyred\, a moment that promises to be deeply moving and inspirational. \nIn addition to our spiritual journey\, we will engage in light construction projects\, distribute food to the hungry\, and visit local clinics to offer support and care. These acts of service are not only opportunities to help those in need but also to witness the face of Christ in our brothers and sisters. \nWe are excited to offer this new opportunity for young adults to engage in their faith\, experience a different culture\, and form new relationships with other young adults. Your presence will undoubtedly enrich our mission and the lives of those we serve. Together\, let us be the hands and feet of Christ in San Salvador.   \nRegistration open to in diocese young adults until August 31st. Registration will open for out of diocese young adults on September 1st.  \nMission Trip Details\n\n	February 21-28\, 2026\n	San Salvador\, El Salvador\n	Ages 19 - 35\n	Cost: $1\,650 ($275 deposit included in total cost)\n\nWhat's included: Roundtrip airfare\, ground transportation\, modest lodging accommodations\, all meals\, travel insurance\, T-shirt\, Diocesan chaplain \nRegister here today!\nThe registration extended till September 20\, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. \nPreparing for Mission \nWe will prepare the young adult mission team practically\, spiritually\, and catechetically. This is accomplished over a 3-month timeframe during two 1/2-day retreats\, one 1/2-day group service project to help a local organization in need\, and a post- trip meeting\, in addition to the week on mission. FAQ: \n\n	Where will the flights be from? The group will fly out of either the Washington Dulles or Reagan National Airports.\n	Scholarship availability and Fundraising opportunities? Currently there are no scholarships\, but CBC does have resources and ideas to help get you started with fundraising. If you are concerned about the cost\, please do not hesitate to reach out so that we can work through ways to make this trip possible for you!\n	When do I have to commit by? The deadline to register is September 30. However\, registration is on a first-come\, first-served basis. Once we are full\, we will close the registration and put up a notice on the website.
