DESCRIPTION:Finding Christ in the Night with St. John of the Cross\nWomen's Silent Retreat\n \n  \nOur Lord once said\, "Whoever wishes to be My follower must deny his very self\, take up his cross daily\, and follow Me" (Luke 9:23).  Many of us avoid the Cross at all costs.  We hear [and fear] the idea of a "Dark Night of the Soul."  But if we are to be true friends of Jesus\, we must be willing to follow Him into the darkness of Gethsemane and on to His Cross at Calvary.  St. John counsels us not merely to endure the Cross... but shows us how to embrace it with courage and joy ...and by God's Grace\, to be "perfected as our Heavenly Father is Perfect." (Matthew 5:48). \nThis "Advanced -- '301' Retreat" would be most beneficial for women who are seeking Jesus faithfully in daily meditation and calm quiet contemplation\, who are noticing certain difficulties and drynesses in prayer... and who are ever more aware of the Presence of the Cross in their lives. \nFr.
