SUMMARY:Manassas Theology on Tap - Fr. John Riley
DESCRIPTION:Talk begins at 7:30 p.m.\n \nFinding Jesus in the Holy Eucharist\n \nDescription: Let's be honest. Frequently at Mass the homily is boring\, the music is mediocre\, and we may find ourselves asking the question\, "Wouldn't I be better off looking for Jesus somewhere else or reading the Bible on my own?" Answer: No way! Join us at our next Theology on Tap to consider why the Mass is an essential element in our search for Christ.\n \nBio: Father John Riley has been a priest for 35 years\, serving in the Arlington Diocese\, in Denver\, and beyond. He has taught and led hundreds of conferences\, missions\, and retreats for priests\, religious sisters\, and laity around the country and as far afield as Calcutta\, India. The primary objective of his endeavor is to help others seek and find Jesus Christ by treasuring and pondering the Gospels in deep quiet prayer. Fr. Riley currently serves as Spiritual Director for the Arlington Diocese's San Damiano Retreat Center in White Post\, VA.\n------------------------------------------------------------------------\nManassas TOT\, cosponsored by the Diocese of Arlington Young Adult Ministry and All Saints Young Adults\, is held on the second Monday of each month at the Old Towne Sports Pub\, located at 8971 Center St. Manassas\, VA 20110.\nAll young adults (ages 19-35) single and married of all faith backgrounds are invited.\nFood and drinks are served starting at 6:30 p.m.\, then the talk begins at 7:30 p.m. & ends with Q&A.\nQuestions? SUMMARY:Shenandoah Theology on Tap - Andrew Hickman
DESCRIPTION:"Let These Words Sink Into Your Ears" - Discover the Key to Organizing Your Life in the Mystery of the Cross\n \nDescription: A proud cradle Catholic and organizational coach\, Andrew Hickman thought he had seen it all when it came to his own faith and the techniques he used to help Christians experience personal transformation. All he knew turned to straw when he was encountered by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In this talk you'll rediscover your faith and learn how to experience the fulfillment of all your deepest desires in the cross of Christ.\n \nBio: Andrew Hickman is the creator of Chamber\, a Catholic system for organizing your life. After almost losing his mind in a neurotic breakdown at age 17\, Andrew's eyes were opened to the inner world of the person and the hidden hatred of self that Satan planted in the heart of man starting with Adam and Eve. In 2020 he created Chamber to help Catholics be loved by God through his Gospel and then be love in the world by organizing their God-given desires.\n____________________________________________\nShenandoah Valley TOT is held on the third Monday of each month.
