SUMMARY:Quo Vadis Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:The Quo Vadis Camp 2025 happened! See photos and read the Arlington Catholic Herald article about this great experience for high school boys.  \nRead on for more information about future camps. \nIf you would like to be added to the email list to hear about the camp\, please email vocations@arlingtondiocese.org\, and include camper's name\, birthdate\, current grade (2024-25)\, and your parish. Note campers must be currently in grades 9-12 and cannot turn 19 before camp starts. \nWhat is Quo Vadis Camp? 5 days and 4 nights at Mount St. Mary's Seminary\, for high school boys who want to gain tools for living and praying to lay a solid foundation for their future.  Quo Vadis Camp is staffed by diocesan seminarians and priests. \nMornings at camp focus on the spiritual\, including Mass and talks\, and afternoons are all about sports and games; evening events are a mix. One day there's a pilgrimage to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. \n(From 2025) \nWhen? July 13-17\, 2025. Camp opens at 11:00 a.m. Sunday\, pick-up is 1:00 p.m. Thursday and campers must be present for the whole of camp. There is noon Mass and a picnic for families on opening Sunday. \nWho? Boys currently in grade 9-12\, who won't be 19 by the time of camp.  \nCost? $310\, incudes private room\, hall bath\, all meals and activities. Payment plans and financial aid are available. \nWhy? Read some comments from campers on what they most enjoyed: \n“I had a great time\, better than I could have expected. The balance between prayer and fun worked well\, and I've gained countless habits to apply to my prayer and discernment. I look forward to the journey ahead.” \n“Highlights: freedom from technology; brotherhood; daily Mass and adoration; all the prayer opportunities.” \n“Being with the seminarians was really cool. Seeing how they are trying to grow in holiness and pursuing their vocation while still being cools guys who like sports and stuff is inspiring.” \n“The chance to pray and meditation was unlike and other time or retreat I've ever been to! The seminarians and priests were all amazing!” \n“Fraternity\, prayer/adoration\, having seminarians everywhere to talk to.” \n“I enjoyed the brotherhood and prayer.” \nWe are so fortunate to have had such great demand for this camp\, though we are sorry it has meant that we don’t have room for everyone who wants to attend.  These camps are an opportunity for young people to grow spiritually and learn about vocations\, but they are not the only means. If you are interested in exploring your vocation\, please contact the Office of Vocations to schedule a meeting with Fr. Isenberg. Additionally\, there are other Quo Vadis events during the school year that will give you this opportunity to interact with priests and seminarians and grow in holiness.
