FIAT Day of Rec JPII

FIAT Day of Recollection

Finding your place in God's plan requires building solid relationships with God, yourself and others. Hear from the Dominican sisters as well as lay women on how to become a woman of virtue and start exploring your vocation. The day includes Mass, talks, and time for prayer.

From the 2018 Day of Recollection:

Led by the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy (St. Faustina's order), this event helped the participants grow in their knowledge of Christ, themselves, religious life and St. John Paul II. It was a full and fun day, and included:

  • Mass
  • The exhibit on St. John Paul II
  • A self-portrait workshop with Sr. Gaudia, who was a professional artist before she entered the convent (You don’t have to be an artist to do this...The theme is our identity as beloved daughters of the Father, called to grow in self-knowledge to discern our vocation, and will incorporate Sacred Scripture, the teachings of St. Faustina, and a little art.)
  • Holy Hour that will conclude with an explanation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and praying it together.
  • Praying the rosary in the Luminous Mysteries Chapel, and venerating a first-class relic of St. John Paul II.
  • Social time with the Sisters

It was also a great opportunity to see old FIAT friends and make new ones.
