Christina Jacobeen

"Committed: Freedom, Not Imprisonment "

Christina is the newly-hired Coordinator of Young Adult Ministries for the Catholic Diocese of Arlington.

A few words of introduction from Christina:
Hello everyone! I am excited to introduce myself and to be serving you as the new Coordinator of Young Adult Ministries in the Arlington Diocese! Some fun facts about me is that I am a mid-western girl, born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, I grew up watching Nick at Night and am currently introducing my husband to the I Love Lucy show.

I am from a large Italian family, I am one of 60 cousins (I’m number 12) and we had a strong devotion to the rosary as a family...which has helped shape who I am today! My large family also taught me how to reach out and make others feel welcomed (because at most family gatherings, what’s one more?)

While I was raised Catholic, I left the faith during college. I met a woman during my senior year who discipled me and encouraged me back into the faith. It was that conversion that has led me here! I am passionate about understanding the difference between masculinity and femininity and how to live this out. I hope to do what the Lord is asking me to in this new role at the Diocese.
