On Palm Sunday, we enter into the holiest of weeks, yet today our hearts are filled with grief upon hearing the news of the Mar Girgis church bombing in Tanta and Saint Mark’s Church in Alexandria, Egypt. Please join me in praying for those who have died and for their families. These heinous acts of violence within the very sanctuaries of Christian worship should call each of us to deeper prayer for our brothers and sisters in Egypt and persecuted Christians throughout the world. May Our Lady, Queen of Peace, intercede for us as we pray for an end to all violence.
