Why I work in Youth Ministry: When I was in high school, the years at my parish youth ministry were a formative and encouraging experience. I made the best of friends, had the most fun, began to understand my true identity in Christ, and most importantly began to cultivate a personal relationship with Him. I was challenged with leadership and mentoring opportunities and was exposed to a lot of incredible ways to pray. In college, I spent two of my summers serving as a missionary at Life Teen Camp Covecrest with high school teenagers. From 2016-2017, I spent an entire year as a full time missionary with Life Teen leading retreats for high school and middle school teenagers. In a culture where we’re told who we’re supposed to be and what will fulfill us, it is so vital that we might come to recognize our true identity in Jesus and our unique call to holiness and sainthood. Saint John Paul II had a lot to do with bringing me deeper into ministry with the youth and I’m thankful for his intercession.

About Me: I grew up in Miami, FL. and then attended school at the Florida State University where I got my B.S. in Psychology. After college, I spent a year in the beautiful North Georgia mountains in Tiger, Georgia where I served as a full time missionary with Life Teen at Camp Covecrest. It was there that I had the privilege to be spiritually formed, to live in community, to lead retreats for middle school and high school teenagers, to live into a daily rhythm of prayer, to build sets and participate in work projects, to fundraise, build relationships, mentor college students, and coordinate awesome events. After my mission year, I moved to Arlington to work for a nonprofit where I lived with and supported adults with intellectual disabilities and now I am grateful for the Lord’s provision in leading me to Saint Louis Catholic Church where I am privileged to serve as the Assistant Director of Youth Ministry. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store!
