Divine Worship
God continually draws all persons
to Himself, and we respond to this call through public worship and personal
prayer. In the life of the Church, public and private prayer expresses
our adoration, thanksgiving, petition and contrition before God and unites us
to Him in a bond of love, a vital and personal relationship with the Holy
Trinity.
The mission of the Office of
Divine Worship is to assist the Bishop in promoting the full, conscious, and
active participation of all the faithful in liturgical celebrations in the
Diocese of Arlington. Therefore, the Office of Divine Worship offers pastoral
and liturgical formation for the clergy and laity of the Diocese of Arlington,
and it serves as a resource for parishes and organizations in their
preparations for liturgical celebrations.
