Mount St. Mary's Seminary
Queen of Apostles Parish
What did you do prior to entering seminary?
I attended George Mason University, graduating in May 2013 with a degree in Economics and minors in Conflict Analysis and Resolution and Business.
What influenced your decision to apply for seminary entrance?
Many holy and humble priests, my involvement with Catholic Campus Ministry at George Mason, attending diocesan events, and speaking with seminarians helped me to discern to apply to seminary.
Why do you want to be a priest?
I want to be a priest in loving answer to my Lord's call and to serve His people, particularly through the sacraments.
What are your favorite pastimes?
I enjoy playing soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, ping-pong and spending time with family and friends.
What is your favorite quote?
"The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high, Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!" - Psalm 113:4-6
Who is your favorite Saint and why?
St. Michael, because he has a great name! He helps me fight the tough battles.
What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?
First and foremost, develop a daily prayer life. Next, find a spiritual director, someone you trust and hold nothing back from, and meet with him on a regular basis. Finally, be open to the Lord. Instead of asking “what do I want?” pray, “Lord, I want what you want. Help me to desire what you desire for me. I trust in you to see me through.”
