Dr. Joseph Vorbach, Superintendent of Schools in the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, is pleased to announce that Christina Mendez-Hall, Ed.D. M.Ed. is joining the Office of Catholic Schools as Assistant Superintendent, effective May 12, 2025.
Dr. Mendez-Hall brings a wealth of experience and joyful spirit to her vocation in Catholic education. She currently serves as Assistant Superintendent for Catholic Identity and Accreditation for the Archdiocese of Washington. In Washington, Dr. Mendez-Hall supports the work of pastors and principals relating to Catholic identity, supervises the Director for Early Childhood and seven early learning centers, and coordinates and, through a variety of other responsibilities, works to equip teachers and staff for success. Prior to her service to the Archdiocese of Washington, Dr. Mendez-Hall served for more than a decade as principal at Catholic schools in Ft. Worth and Houston, Texas.
Christina Mendez-Hall earned her Ed.D. in Ethical Leadership from the University of St. Thomas with a thesis focus on Catholic Social Teaching and Inclusion of Elementary Catholic School Students with Disabilities. She earned her M.Ed. in Catholic School Leadership from the University of Dallas, and B.A. from the University of St. Thomas.
