You are invited to join us for this year’s celebration of Juneteenth. On this day we recognize the momentous occasion of June 19, 1865, when at last, freedom came to ALL people in the United States, while also acknowledging that we are still on a journey together toward unity and justice.
Our celebration, for families and all of our community, includes children’s activities, music, crafts, interactive story time and of course, food. We will also have vendors!
Our traditional Juneteenth menu will include: Grilled chicken with peaches, hot dog (plant-based as well), baked beans, collard greens, cornbread, and red velvet cake.
Join us here at St. John Neumann for an event that marks this important day in American history and looks to our future with hope.
