Affording Catholic Education
Tuition assistance is offered to enable children to attend Diocese of Arlington Catholic Schools. Tuition assistance is made possible through different funding sources: the Diocesan Tuition Assistance Program fund, the Diocese of Arlington Scholarship Foundation fund, the St. Beatrice Tuition Assistance Fund, and individual school or parish funding.
Application Process
- Submit one online financial aid application and all supporting tax documentation by the due date.
- Applications are submitted electronically online at https://online.factsmgt.com/signin.aspx.
- Only one application is required per family.
- Remit a processing fee.
- Families seeking aid for students in BOTH high school and primary school should follow both the high school and primary school due dates and tax document requirements (see below).
2026-2027 Due Dates
- High Schools: January 12, 2026
- 2024 W-2s and tax returns are required for early verification of financial aid applications for high school students.
- If 2024 W-2s and tax returns are not submitted by the financial aid deadline, then 2025 W-2s and tax returns must be submitted by March 14, 2026.
- Primary Schools (K-8): March 14, 2026
- 2025 W-2s and tax returns are required and must be submitted by March 14, 2026 for verification of financial aid applications for primary school students.
Diocesan Tuition Assistance Program
Made possible through contributions from Diocese of Arlington parishioners and the Rooted in Faith-Forward in Hope Capital Campaign Endowment.
Eligibility Criteria

Students attending or accepted by a Diocese of Arlington Catholic school (K-12).
Students who are Catholic and members of a parish in the Diocese of Arlington or military base parish.
Families residing within the boundaries of the Diocese of Arlington and are registered and active members of a diocesan parish or a military base parish.
Preschool/Pre-K students are not eligible. Not applicable to students of private independent Catholic schools associated with the diocese and/or international students.
Diocesan Scholarship Foundation
Funding for the Diocese of Arlington Scholarship Foundation is provided by individuals or businesses who receive a 65% Virginia tax credit for their donation. Eligibility is verified by the local school and submitted to the Office of Catholic Schools for consideration. The amount awarded from this fund is limited by legislation and cannot exceed tuition but can be supplemented by other tuition assistance funds. Schools will notify families of award decisions.

Family must have a completed and verified FACTS financial aid application to verify income level.
Household income (as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau) cannot exceed 300% of the federal poverty guidelines. For students with disabilities, the household income cannot exceed 400% of the federal poverty guidelines; student must have a verified IEP on file at their school. Refer to the current 2026 Federal Poverty Guidelines Worksheet.
Family must reside in Virginia. Student must be transferring from a public school or from outside Virginia, enrolling in kindergarten or first grade, or must have received funds from the Diocesan Scholarship Foundation in a prior year.
St. Beatrice Special Assistance
This tuition assistance is available for single-parent households and families with multiple children in diocesan schools who show sufficient financial need on their FACTS financial aid application. St. Beatrice Tuition Assistance eligibility is verified by the school and sent to the Office of Catholic Schools for consideration. Awards can be supplemented by other tuition assistance funds. Schools will notify families of award decisions.
