Edith Stein is considered by many (including St. John Paul the Great) to be one of the greatest philosophers to ponder what is often described as "the Feminine Genius." Although her life and her gifts were extraordinary, her wisdom and spirituality illuminate many of the challenges and situations that confront women in our times; wives, mothers, professionals...and all who seek greater intimacy with Jesus.
Join us at the Arlington Diocese's San Damiano Retreat Center to read and rest and pray at the feet of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Fr. John Heisler will lead us in this silent retreat with daily Mass, Confessions... and conferences with considerations of the womanly wisdom of St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross.

Fr. John Heisler has served as a priest for the Arlington Diocese for nearly 30 years. He
studied philosophy and theology at Christendom College, and attended Mount St. Mary’s
Seminary. For many years at the Pontifical College Josephinum, Fr. Heisler taught and formed seminarians who now serve as priests in our diocese and throughout the country.
