Finding Divine Truth in Catholic Short Stories & Literature
Men's and Women's Retreat January 8 - 10
Our faith has produced an abundance of Catholic writers throughout the ages, and the grace they received in the Sacraments permeates their works. Come spend a weekend diving into short stories and snippets of longer works as we contemplate the divine Word glimpsed in the written word in the likes of O'Connor, Chesterton, Waugh and more.
Retreat cost is $299 and financial assistance may be available.

A native of Burke, Virginia, Father Rich Miserendino discovered a deeper love of God and the faith during his undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester and the Eastman School of Music. There, by the grace of God, many good friends and professors helped him grow and ultimately discern his vocation to the Priesthood. After completing degrees in Physics, Mathematics, and Music Performance, he returned to Northern Virginia to work as a defense contractor (SAIC) by day, and by night as a professional musician. He entered the Seminary in 2009, first at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary and then the Pontifical North American College. He holds degrees from both the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Pontifical University Saint Thomas Aquinas in the City (Angelicum) in Rome. He has served at both Saint Agnes and Saint Bernadette Catholic Churches, and is delighted to be at UMW Catholic Campus Ministry presently. He enjoys music, science, reading, running, being outside, trains, and science fiction. His favorite Saints include Saints Michael, Thomas Aquinas, Edmund Campion, Katherine Drexel and Theresa of Avila.
