Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington, has announced the following clergy appointment:

Very Reverend William P. Saunders, V.F. to Episcopal Vicar for Faith Formation for the Diocese of Arlington while remaining Pastor of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Potomac Falls, effective September 1, 2018.

As Episcopal Vicar for Faith Formation, Father Saunders will directly assist Bishop Burbidge in his responsibilities associated with evangelization and catechesis.  In particular, he will serve as the Director of the Office of Catechetics and oversee the work of those members of the Chancery staff whose ministries include evangelization, adult faith formation, special needs ministries, ministry to the deaf and hearing impaired and formation for service in liturgical ministries, including the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
