ARLINGTON, Va. – More than 700 men will fill St. Joseph Catholic Church in Herndon Saturday, March 9, for the 10th Annual Men’s Conference. The event, sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington’s Office for Marriage, Family and Respect Life, gives attendees the opportunity to get inspired by some of the most dynamic Catholic speakers, build holy relationships and celebrate their faith.

Among the keynote speakers at this year’s conference is Matt Birk, former NFL ‘center’ with the Baltimore Ravens. “Matt will offer practical insights into how a robust spiritual life can translate into courageous witness in the world,” says Therese Bermpohl, Director of the Office for Marriage, Family and Respect Life. Besides being a devout Catholic and family man, Birk is also very active in the pro-life movement.

The conference is sold out.

Here are the details:

When:                                   Saturday, March 9, 2017, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Where:                                 St. Joseph Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree Street, Herndon

Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Michael F. Burbidge.

This year’s theme is Power Within: The Secret Strength of a Deeper Interior Life. The goal is to inspire men to harness the power they have within themselves through a more profound relationship with Jesus in prayer, and to encourage them to live that out in their families, at work and in the public square. Bermpohl says men are constantly in need of being challenged, and this conference will challenge them to make greater strides in prayer and holiness and, through that, change the world around them.
