Most Reverend Michael Burbidge will celebrate the 10th Annual Mass Honoring Military and First Responders at 11:00 AM on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church (3700 Blenheim Blvd, Fairfax, VA), hosted by Fr. Francis J. Diamond Council #6292 and Fr. Walter F. Malloy Assembly #1894.
This Mass is a wonderful opportunity for us to honor and pray for our men and women in uniform who defend our nation, as well as those who protect and serve our communities. We also honor those who selflessly gave their lives during the 9/11 attacks, and we cherish the families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty. All members of the military, law enforcement, and fire & rescue are cordially invited to attend this Mass in dress uniform with their families. A photo will be taken after the Mass in front of the church with our clergy, Knights of Columbus dignitaries, and our "heroes". A luncheon will follow in the school gym.
